but it's mechanics are simplified and dull. ![]() There are still a lot of issues such as faction and unit diversity, Warhammer remains king and Rome 2 is the prince, as well as certain choices with the UI. I will agree that it is looking like the best Three Kingdoms game to ever exist, although I would cut you short in saying that it is the best total war. and receive nothing but duuuuuhhhhhhhhhhhhh quality gaming that rots away the brain. the same type of sheep, that will spend 100£ on Anthem or Call of Duty. the best Total War and best Three Kingdoms game (in the strategy genre) to have ever been made! (as long as they tweak that AI :P ) their opinions do not matter! This Is Total War Three Kingdoms. ![]() Totally agree I'm playing a campaign of Shogun II at the moment and it reminded me how the style aesthetic UI was spot on. So far the only part of the game that supposedly matches the aesthetic of the ancient Han dynasty is the technology tree. If this were a perfect world, the TW3K's UI would be less lazy black ink splatters, empty black boxes, and bright highlighted green cicrles more like actual traditional chinese paintings and canvases like how Shogun 2 did. An example of bad minimalism in games is most Ubisoft games and the recent God of War game where it feels less like a video game and more like an app for Windows 8. Some people hate minimalism because they want stylistic and cool UIs that actually match the aesthetics of the game, like for example Persona 5. We are in the age of minimalism, but some still live in caves. It is extremely unfortunate that a minimalistic, clean and polished UI design, instead of being commended as it should, gets derided as mobile UI. You dismissed the notion that something looking like a mobile game and being mobile game doesn't matter because Rome 1 now has a mobile port, thus excusing TW3K's very basic UI, when the argument I'm presenting is that some people do not want their games to feel or look like mobile games, which I specifically state in my reply to your post that people separate their PC and console games to mobile games because both have wildly varying levels of polish and quality. No? I'm explaining why some people have such a negative connotation towards anything resembling a mobile game.Įxcept Diablo Immortal does not "resemble" a mobile game, it IS a mobile game whereas 3K is not. You are putting 3K on par with Diablo Immortal. ![]() You won't see me putting Fate/Grand Order or Girls Frontline on the same league as Resident Evil 2 or Nier Automata. Some people like to seperate their video games and mobile games, which is why Diablo Immortal (and by extension that new Alien game) got such a massive backlash that Blizzard-Activision's stocks took a nosedive in such a small amount of time. 2K A Total War Saga: Thrones of Britannia.846 A Total War Saga: Fall of the Samurai.
